Come along to this workshop and learn how to make a wardrobe staple. A versatile easy to wear T-shirt. Sarah will show you how to cut the pattern which you will take home with you after the class, how to adapt the pattern to make different neck bands and sleeve lengths. The T-shirt pattern is a perfect introduction to dressmaking. The tshirt will be made out of jersey fabric which you can chose yourself and bring with you on the day. The T-shirt will be made using an overlocker or a stretch stitch on a normal sewing machine. You can bring your own for some practice. If you dont have an overlocker but would like to try CRAFT have a limited amount of overlocker which can be used. Please message me before booking to secure a machine. The workshop price is £45 this includes a full colour PDF pattern and electronic version, information sheet to take home with you and refreshments on the day. The T-shirt can be made in 3 sizes and fits from approx size 10/12 up to size 18/20. This workshop will cover using an overlocker and how to sew stretch fabric. We will learn how to cut a pattern to get the best use out of our fabric, finish hems with a twin needle, as well as lots of other techniques. This class is aimed at confident beginners who are familiar with sewing stretch fabric but want to learn more about overlockers. This workshop is held at CRAFT, Abbeydale road, Sheffield. It runs 10am till 1.30pm with a break. Full payment is required to secure your booking.
